H. Metcalf Ministries
About H. Metcalf
Heavily anointed and led by the Holy Spirit, H. Metcalf continues to pursue the purpose and plan, that God has for his life. Born Harold Metcalf, in Forrest City Arkansas, he is one of thirteen children. He began his music career at the age of fifteen playing trumpet, drums, and singing lead vocals, in his seven piece home town band , "Abraham and his Sons". With this group, he co-wrote the groups first hit record, "Your Mother Understood" on the Review Record Label. (Division of Universal Records). Also, in the secular world, Metcalf performed with world super-stars; like Al Green, the Chi-lites, Luther Ingram, and Albert King. Just to name a few.

Not adhearing to the call of God on his life, like Job, Metcalf fell into a pool of despair, for God had a purpose for his life. This purpose began on October 2001, at 2:00 AM, when he was completely transformed and baptized in the holy spirit, while watching Bishop T. D. Jakes on television. At that moment, he gave his life to the lord, and has been on the mission field ever since winning souls for the Lord, using the anointed gifts God has bestowed on him.

Soon after, God led Metcalf to a Spirit Filled Church, "Love Corner Ministries", in Champaign, Il. There, he began singing for the Lord in the church's male chorus. He ministered there until he received further instructions from the Lord.

Shortly after, God told him to write and record gospel music. Being obedient, he recorded his first 4 song EP, entitled "About My Father's Business" in 2003. That project earned him a live performance, on the Bobby Jones Gospel Show, which is a national televised program, on the Word Television Network. Because of the Anointing on his life, his ministry began to spread locally and nationally.

In September of 2005, God moved Metcalf to Dallas, Texas for spiritual guidance, under Bishop T.D. Jakes and the Potters House Church. He joined the church immediately, and began singing in the Bishop's Choir.

He remained faithful, ministering with the choir whenever he could, until God released him and called him back to the studio in August 2009, where he began recording his second project, "Shelter In The Storm", which was released in 2010. This project gained National attention, which led to Metcalf being nominated for two awards by "The Rythm of Gospel Awards". (Independent Gospel Artist of America and Canada).
In fact, the album was programmed by over forty radio stations, nationally and internationally.

Now, H. Metcalf has a new anointed project entitled, " Another Level". This contemporary, R&B, Hip-hop, Jazz flavored album, can be summed up with one word, Fresh!!! Set to be released mid-July 2012, this album ministers in a way that captivates listeners, and glorifies God with a fresh new sound, unheard in the gospel industry today.

With the hand of the Almighty God, and Metcalf's unshakable faith, he continues to write and sing-and be a man, After God's Heart..

No matter what challenges Metcalf faces in life, his goals remain the same. Metcalf says, whether through the writing, and singing of my songs, my testimonies, or if God wants me to preach the Gospel, I will always be anxious and willing, to tell somebody, about a Man Name Jesus. "Oh Taste And See That The Lord Is Good"
